Child Psychology

Welcome!

I believe that looking into mental health is an important step in supporting families. As a child psychologist, I am dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to address their emotional and behavioral needs. Through a holistic approach, I aim to help families understand and navigate the complexities of their child's mental well-being. Whether it's dealing with anxiety, depression, or behavioral issues, I am here to offer my expertise and support.

Together, we can work towards promoting positive mental health and well-being for children and their families. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Welcome!

My Beliefs:

We don’t often remember this, but childhood can be a stressful time.

Pressures to perform well in school, difficulties with friends, and constant changes, may all seem like trivial stressors to an adult, but to a child, that is their entire world.

And to make matters worse, they do not have the life experience to help them deal with these problems, and very often, don’t even know the right words to use to talk about the problems they have.

This can lead to a world of issues that a child is facing, that the grown-up world is completely unaware of. What we do see, may not be the entire story.

The same is true once they get a little older and become teenagers.

Changing bodies, first relationships, worries about the future, and trying to establish themselves as an individual can put a lot of pressure on teens and these problems can seem insurmountable.

Both children and teens need a network of care to support them emotionally along their journey.

Family is at the core of this network, but it is our duty to provide as many avenues for help as possible.

Out of this belief, was born a desire to provide support to young people as they navigate life’s challenges.
