My Role
I help children and teens increase their confidence, self-reliance, and self-worth which can have a significant impact on a child’s stress management and overall outlook.
I strive to create a non-judgmental, friendly, and relaxed environment that is productive to uncensored self-expression.
My role in this environment is to provide compassionate, empathetic support that is uniquely tailored to each child’s needs.
I believe that providing understanding during times of need and empowering self-perception can go a long way to helping young people grow and develop positive coping skills that they will use for the rest of their life.
My Approach
My therapeutic approach can be described as person-centered, play therapy informed and family focused. This means that I encourage children to explore their thoughts and feelings through increased self-expression to help them develop strategies for emotional fortitude and psychological growth.
